fresh air

hanafay

*taken this summer at Redcat. Hannah was looking through this Birmingham city guide that my uncle gave me for my birthday, and we just so happened to be in a local coffee shop. AND Hannah now has a blog...HELLO. Visit it here: Follow Hannah Faye

If I have learned anything the past two weeks, it has been that God is most definitely in control. He reigns in the small things and always grants peace to those who ask of it. Since being in college, my life has become so different in every way. I am a different person. But a constant knowledge of my need for Christ has been a theme of my learning these past two years. And if all I learn in college is that Christ is my everything and that His presence is more important than anything else...so be it. I say that's well worth college tuition (But...trust me I'm learning way more than that, too).

Time spent with God is imperative to a healthy lifestyle. Earlier this week I realized that the word of God and time spent with Him is like fresh air and nourishment. Without that fresh air and nourishment, I get sick from being in such a polluted and dirty world. When I have no time with God I don't have the fresh air and strength I need to be able to withstand and walk through the world.

It's funny how God works through the most uneasy of times to give me peace. And it most definitely is a peace that surpasses all understanding.

back in July...

A trip to Atlanta is always a treat.
But when you go with a handsome fella' *cough*Garrett*cough*...it makes it even better.

Garrett, Zac, and I drove up to Atlanta to drop Zac off at the bus station so he could make his trek back to Florida. (sad face)
After we dropped him off, we went to Mary Mac's  (holy snap. delicious.) and then to Octane Coffee  (we hit up the Grant Park location. and lemme tell ya, not only is the place beautiful...but it's tasty).

We also walked around and shopped a bit.

Our day trip in captured image:

1) This is on the bowling green. The wind was so strong that it
literally blew me around. No joke.
2) Sunshine :)
3) Shadows (I can't remember what this part was called!)
4) Completely enamored with snow.
5) The 'W' stands for Whitney. I don't care what you say. Biltmore LOVES me!
6) There's part of the beautiful mansion.
7) Up in the loft of the stable cafe. This part of the loft didn't open until 5 (and it was...1?) so we just sat down at a table and drank our Biltmore coffee. (Best gingerbread latte I have EVER had!) Oh. and that is my brother Graham. Ain't he a cutie?

1) I walked about 6 blocks in the rain after work to get to my car - Sav's car...mine's in the shop- and the car won't crank. I left the lights on (my car automatically turns them off...ugh). So, I call the friend I was supposed to be meeting for coffee and ask him to come and jump the car off.
Yay :) problem solved. I took this picture while waiting.
2) One of my favorite views. I took this while sitting at a red light. Alabama Theater (NEEDTOBREATHE NOVEMBER 19TH!!!!)
3) Best latte of my life. Marry me, Urban Standard.
4) Rachel and her coffee drink. Cutie :)
5) Wesley REALLY loves his sandwich.
6) Latte, latte, latte, latte, latte, latte

I love rainy days across town; I love rainy days at home. I love rain.
