Pepper Place Market

On Saturday morning in downtown Birmingham...there's this little market, Pepper Place.
Indeed, it is a farmers market and it is LOVELY.
(an excerpt from the website)
Summer means tomatoes and peaches!
It means okra, peas, squash and blackberries, too.
Make Pepper Place Saturday Market mornings part of your weekly routine.

One of my favorite meals HAS to be an Alabama summertime supper.
We eat fresh tomatoes, black eyes peas, squash casserole, fried okra (maybe green tomatoes or potatoes thrown in), and then top it off with some cantaloupe.
Best. meal. ever.
(especially if served with sweet tea and topped off with a blueberry or blackberry cobbler.)

Savanna and I went a few weeks ago...and boy did I FALL in love.
It's been around for quite some time, but in the last couple of years the market has flourished!

Peachessss!!!
Chilton County Peaches
YEppers.
Indeed. We love Pepperplace.

I LOVE Pepper Place. I've only been once, but it was a great way to spend a Saturday morning. It helped that I had a friend to go with and convice me to get up at the crack of dawn to go! But, yes, it was amazing. So glad y'all were able to go.
