Asheville: Monday Night

On Monday afternoon, we arrived in Asheville, North Carolina. This was the first time I had ever witnessed so much snow! It was probably a good three inches...but it was everywhere! So cold, but so worth it. After we settled in to our hotel, we took a little walk around Asheville, then freshened up and headed towards Biltmore. When you get there, you're shuttled by bus to the actual house. Goodness, your first peak at the house is just breath taking. It was dark, so the second we came around the corner and we could spot that famous mansion, all you could see was it's beauty and the GINORMOUS tree that was lit up in front of the house. Along with the snow and decorations, while gazing at the house, you feel as though you have stepped into a Christmas fairytale. No joke! We ate in the stable cafe (I practically napped in my chair after the entree) and then took a tour of the house. (No photography was allowed inside the house. boo.)

1) Potato Bisque (amazing. ate it all and couldn't finish my main dish)
2) Butternut Squash Ravioli (also aaaamazing. but couldn't eat it all. I just kind of sat there waiting for my stomach to grow...eventually it did. But that was for dessert)
3) Sisters :)
4) The famous Lions. I have a picture next to him about...10 years ago?
5) Beautiful, beautiful tree. HUGE tree.
6) We've got the bro. And we're all happy and getting smashed by snow. (he didn't drop it thank goodness. OH! I look taller than Savy! Yay snow clumps!)

Best potato bisque ever.

Except...it's the only potato bisque I've had. Does it still count?
