Indian Summer Tour
featuring
The Civil Wars
& Madi Diaz

The Civil Wars seem to get better and better performers. Actually, I don't know if that's possible...but I seem to enjoy their shows more and more. For me, their music has always hit a certain spot. Hearing any of their music instantly puts me in a happy spot (which is kind of crazy considering most of their music is depressing...but it's the best kind!). I think one of the things that makes them such a joy to watch live is the fact that they both love what they're doing. Joy Williams keeps a smile on her face the entire time, laughing at all the little things and noticing the small things going on in the audience. John Paul White seems to just have the peace while playing a guitar. They both love their music, which makes it a joy to listen to and watch them perform. I remember a while back I found their myspace and I listened to their single 'Falling' for the first time, this is the song that caused me to tumble into a crazy
head- over-heels love. I listened to it, then just sat in my computer chair, stunned at the beauty that I had just heard. I then called my mom into the room and told her to listen to it, she thought it was beautiful as well. I don't know if I did, but I want to say I might have shed a tear or two...weird...but...hey now.
Last night, they performed a WONDERFUL show. They even did a cover of Jackson 5's 'I Want You Back', it was wonderful! And they'll always have me on that swamp song 'Barton Hollow' (i believe that's it. But since we're from Alabama...it's pronounced 'Barton Holler'.

Swampy, swampy, swampy...makes me feel so good inside.

Verdict:
The Civil Wars have to be just the best, the best, the best, the best duo I have ever heard in my life.
So there.

Happy Monday!

She's creating a new dress a day for 365 days for less than a dollar. Buy a thrift store dress/outfit, and make it brand new! Pretty neat.
