my 'other' family

I count it a blessing that I am always truthful when I say I wouldn't trade my family for anything.
I love my parents, siblings, grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, 2nd cousins and so on.

But I also count it a blessing that, in life, we are able to create our own families through friendship. As in, having a family in which I am not related.

Adam and Emily have been that family to me and my (actual) family. And then when they added little baby Samuel to their family, Samuel instantly became our nephew in a blink of an eye. And I can speak for myself and everyone in my (actual) family...we'd do pretty much anything for Adam, Emily, and their precious Samuel.
