Garage Cafe

If you ever find yourself in Birmingham, go to the Garage Cafe. You are forced to take this super sketchy road to get to this gem of a place...but it's well worth it. We went there back in June as a birthday celebration (for me!). Lemme tell ya, best sandwich ever. I inhaled it and wanted more. It is such an eccentric place. There are tables made out of old bathroom sinks (if that give you an idea...). When we walked up to the door the "id checker" was a black man dressed in a tunic, long dreadlocks, and a change purse around his neck. He asked for my i.d. and I immediately said, "Oh. I'm underage." To which he replied, "Those your parents with ya?" "Yes sir..." "Ok. Well. The rule is if you're under 21 after 7:00 you can't come in. But since you're with your parents...I'll let ya in." Then he gave me this huge smile. He was adorable. And I got to go in! (I felt so grown up!)

Etsy coming sooooon! I'm having some Paypal difficulties...
It'll all work out. (Tom Petty resounding in my head, yes.)
