First Day of FALL

The morns are meeker than they were,
The nuts are getting brown;
The berry's cheek is plumper,
The rose is out of town.

The maple wears a gayer scarf,
The field a scarlet gown.
Lest I should be old-fashioned,
I'll put a trinket on.

-Emily Dickinson

(I guess I should gussy up!)

Well, the first day of fall might have actually been yesterday.

But in my world I'm saying today is the first day.

HAPPY FALL!

and excuse me...the girl in the last picture?
May I please steal her hair?

Yeah for fall! I love that poem by Emily Dickinson. I've never heard it before, but it is absolutely beautiful. What great imagery. She is definitely one of my favorite poets. Not a word wasted.

These photos are stunning and they're almost helping me get over my sadness over the end of summer.
