This weekend I went to the Zion Rest Church Meeting.
Elder Michael Gowens was there as the visiting preacher and he
was amazing. He had SOME sausage (;D), but he preached some
good Application, and it made me smile.
Meetings always put you on the 'high' for God. Makes you want to
wave his banner high, and shout to the world how happy Christ
makes you. (or...me in this case ;D)
Besides the AMAZING singing, sermons, and prayer, the fellowship...
(the only word that comes to mind is glows [?] fine. we glow.) The
fellowship glows, we're all encouraging of each other. We make each
other laugh. And more than anything, we truly love one another.
And that love is always shown during communion. Love for Christ in the
wine and bread. Love for each other in washing each others feet.
(Magz took some pictures of the foot washing service, I hope she'll develop them
and scan, scan, scan!)
Washing feet is a symbol of a selfless love, and a love where we help one another
clean our paths.
"He riseth from supper and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. After that he poureth water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded."
~John 13:4&5
"If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, Verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him."
~John 13:14-16

girll, i really was home schooled for 5 years! i didn't come to "regular" school until the 6th grade. home school really influenced who i am today. i want to home school my kids. but "regular" school is good too, just need good self-control to stay away from all the bad things.

cute pictures!
