Friday Thoughts

Right now, I have my blinds and windows open. It's an overcast day and the thunder keeps sounding. The dorm room above me has the windows open and is playing country music, Travis Tritt's 'It's a Great Day to Be Alive', and I thought to myself, "I'm happy to be right here."

A lot of times, I struggle with contentment. I want to know where I'm going to be in 10 years. I want to know the reason for lots of things happening in my life. But somehow this week I've had an overwhelming sense of peace and trust. (Ah! Now it's starting to rain!) I'm applying for the Graphic Design program and won't find out if I'm in until August. Trust me, if anything is to scare you...that will. The more and more I learn about design and the thought process behind it...the more and more I want this.

But for now, I'm going to pack up my supplies and head to the studio to work on yet another never ending project. But you know?

I'm happy to be here.

p.s. how do you like the new header? My friend, Sam, went crazy on illustrator and made this for me. I'm now officially 'Happy Camper' and I will be doing my best to make this blog a happy place for you to visit...whenever you feel apt to do so!

Basically. This is my life.

So this school thing is a crazy, crazy ride.

But I believe through trial and confusion we're brought closer to Him.

I definitely have learned to just rest in knowing that God has a plan for my life and that I shouldn't worry about it. So I try not to.

Spring Break in Photos

Oh man.

Spring Break was just a blessing sent directly from the heavens.

I was able to almost 100% recuperate from the weird sickness thing.

I got to stay home and sleep, be with my family, and visit with friends.

I'm running short on words right now.

Self Timer & Coconut Popsicle

Sometimes, it's fun to just sit in the visitor's parking lot of your friend's apartment and take self-timer shots of yourself with a yummy coconut popsicle.

My second semester of college has been crazy insane...and when I realized how unorganized I was, I made a deal with myself that I wouldn't blog until I'd gotten more organized.

This week is my breather (spring break).

This week is my week to "start over".

I sleep, eat, (get over this dang bacterial infection), and take time to do what I love.

Let's just say to sum up my semester:

God is good and God is my strength.

This semester is way harder in every direction, ever area.

But I feel like God breaks me down just to draw me nearer.
